Seasonal Public Works Laborer The Borough of Oceanport, NJ is now accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Public Works Laborer. Must have H.S. diploma or GED or equivalent, have a valid NJ Driver License and be able to lift 30-40 lbs. Pesticides License a plus. Work includes leaf collection, road work, park maintenance, buildings maintenance, public works projects, snow plowing, lifting of heavy equipment, recycling and general maintenance in adverse weather conditions. The Oceanport Police Department has received reports related to a telephone scam in which the caller purports to be an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) representative. Using intimidation tactics, the caller tries to take control of the situation from the beginning. The caller advises the recipient of the call that the IRS has charges against them and threatens legal action and arrest.
