Hiring Announcement - Borough of Oceanport Police Department for
Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer

The Borough of Oceanport, NJ is now accepting applications for the position of Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer. Applicants must possess: 1) a current New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification from an accredited police academy for either: Waiver eligible Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer or Class A Certified officer (retired in good standing for SLEOII); 2) a valid New Jersey Driver’s License and 3) Meet all qualifications of N.J.S.A 40A:14-146 et seq.; 4) EMT certification a plus.

Interested candidates should complete and submit the application and release waiver form no later than 4:30 p.m. on June 20, 2018, or until filled, to: Borough Administrator Raymond T. Poerio, 315 E. Seasonal Public Works Laborer/Machine Operator

The Borough of Oceanport, NJ is now accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Public Works Laborer/Machine Operator. Applications are available here on the Borough website, OR in the Borough Clerk’s Office, 315 E. Main Street, Oceanport, NJ 07757. Must have H.S. diploma or GED or equivalent, must maintain a Class A CDL license and be able to lift 30-40 lbs. Pesticides License a plus. Work includes leaf collection, road work, park maintenance, buildings maintenance, public works projects, snow plowing, lifting of heavy equipment, recycling and general maintenance in adverse weather conditions.
