The Boroughs of Oceanport/Sea Bright Municipal Courts are seeking a qualified, motivated, self-starter, to perform detailed municipal court clerical work involving the collection of fees for traffic violations, working under the general direction of the Municipal Court Administrator.

Candidates should have considerable experience and knowledge of ATS/ACS systems, sound recording and have excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: answer telephones, inquiries from public and walk-in inquiries regarding the Violations Bureau; maintain, classify, index and cross-reference records and files for accuracy; receive fines and costs in non-indicatable offenses, subject to the limitations as provided by law or Part VII of the Rules of the Court or Statewide Violation Bureau Schedule; acceptance of appearance, waivers of trial, pleas of guilty and payments; comply with the New Jersey Rules of Court, Supreme Court Directives, laws and established policies and procedures governing the operation of the Municipal Courts; attend court sessions. Full-Time Probationary Police Officer
Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer

The Borough of Oceanport, NJ is now accepting applications for the positions of Full-Time Probationary Police Officer and Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer. Applicants must possess: 1) a current New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification from an accredited police academy for either: Waiver eligible Class II Special Law Enforcement Officer or Class A Certified officer (retired in good standing for SLEOII); 2) a valid New Jersey Driver’s License and 3) Meet all qualifications of N.J.S.A 40A:14-146 et seq.; 4) EMT certification a plus.
