ADDENDUM NO. 1
to
REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (“RFP”)
For
MUNICIPAL ARCHITECT FOR THE BOROUGH OF OCEANPORT
Issued: February 11, 2025
INTENT: This Document supersedes all conflicting and contrary information in said Request for Proposal Document. Said document is hereby amended in certain particulars as described hereinafter. Unless specifically noted or specified hereinafter all work shall conform to the applicable provisions of the Request for Proposal document. Bidders shall acknowledge receiving this document on the Bid Proposal Form.
This Addendum includes two (2) pages and the following:
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFIs)
1. Question: The RFP indicates a contract period of March 10, 2025 through December 31, 2025. Shall we assume that the contract period will correlate to the completion of the requested project services?
Response: The contract period is revised from March 10, 2025 through March 9, 2026 with an option for a two year renewal.
2. Question: The RFP includes a mandatory pre-proposal meeting. Please confirm that firms not attending the meeting will not be able to submit a proposal.
Response: Firms that cannot attend the pre-proposal meeting are welcome to apply; however, non-attendance will be taken into consideration during the selection process.
3. Question: It appears that the RFP requires the services of a civil engineering firm. Has the Borough considered the option of the Architect coordinating their services with those of the Borough Engineer? If not, will the Architect be permitted to include the Borough engineer in their proposal?
Response: The Architect will be required to coordinate with the Borough Engineer.

4. Question: The List of Subcontractors indicates a “Proposal Submission Checklist”. I do not find that form in the package. Is the Checklist missing from the bid package?
Response: Page 18 “List of Subcontractors” is deleted in its entirety from the Request For Proposal.
5. Question: The length of the construction period will impact the Contract Administration Services. Is it the Borough’s intention to construct both projects concurrently?
Response: The revision of the contract dates from March 10, 2025 to March 9, 2026, with an option for a two-year renewal addresses this question.
