TRASH AND RECYCLING UPDATES- BEGINNING JUNE 1, 2025

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO

TRASH AND RECYCLING PICK UP

 

Beginning JUNE 1, 2025 there will be some big changes to trash and recycling pickup in the Borough as follows:

  1. All zones will have recycling pick up EVERY WEDNESDAY. Yes, you are reading this correctly!  There will be weekly recycling pickup for the entire Borough on Wednesdays.  We highly recommend you put your recycling out the night before after 6:00 pm to ensure pick up.
  2. If your trash pick up is presently on Wednesday and Saturday that is changing. Your new trash pickup days will be TUESDAY AND FRIDAY. Again, we recommend you put your trash out the night before after 6:00 pm to ensure pickup.
  3. All other residents have no changes unless you were directly notified by the Borough.

These changes are part of a new contract with Suburban Disposal and the goals of the new contract were to eliminate Saturday pickup and reduce the numbers of zones.  Making those changes reduced the costs to the Borough and gave us the opportunity to add recycling pickup on a weekly basis to all our residents.
