117 memorials honoring U.S. Army Signal Corps soldiers — Beginning the week of October 6, these monuments will be relocated, and a rededication ceremony will follow.

Beginning the week of October 6 and as part of their larger project Netflix is required to upgrade Avenue of Memories, which runs alongside their property. These improvements will include new sidewalks, a wider road, added shoulders, and a center turn lane. Due to these changes, the 117 memorials honoring the U.S. Army Signal Corps soldiers who were killed in action during World War II will be permanently relocated to Cowan Park, located at the corner of Avenue of Memories and Oceanport Avenue in the Borough of Oceanport. This new location will allow all the memorials to be honored together, alongside the existing flag pole and two memorial trees.

The careful process of moving these memorials will take several weeks to complete. More details about the rededication ceremony for the memorials will be shared later this month or in early November.
