Location: Office and inspections in Oceanport, NJ

Job Description: The Construction Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Subcode Official with multiple UCC License. This part-time position involves performing plan reviews and inspections for all work falling under the electrical subcode. The role also includes overseeing the work of any part-time electrical inspectors. The Borough will be experiencing a significant increase in commercial construction over the next several years, making this a critical and dynamic role. The role will require a minimum of ten hours a week with a significant chance of increasing to full-time over the next few years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct plan reviews and inspections for electrical subcode compliance.
• Supervise part-time electrical inspectors.
• Ensure all electrical work meets the required standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Must be a New Jersey Electrical Subcode Official with an HHS license.
• Candidates with multiple UCC licenses are preferred.
• Prior experience with permitting software

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary commensurate with experience.
• Municipal vehicles available for travel to inspections.
