PRESS RELEASE
OCEANPORT, N.J. (updated NOVEMBER 14, 2024) – The Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) is seeking public input on amendments to the Authority’s solar regulations outlined in FMERA’s Land Use Rules (N.J.A.C. 19:31C-3). The Authority’s solar regulations were drafted over a decade ago. These amendments are proposed to modify the regulations to encourage stakeholders to offset their energy needs with a renewable energy source and better support the clean energy goals of the State.
WHAT: The document posted on the FMERA webpage is a draft, which will be presented to the FMERA Board, with any final edits, for its review and consideration for approval. If approved, the amendments will be published in the New Jersey Register for formal public comment as required by the Administrative Procedure Act before adoption.
WHEN: Feedback must be submitted in writing no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024. Written feedback can be submitted here. Phone calls will not be accepted for comments.
